Come learn more about Dr. Fig as he shares his story with us and also his gives us his vision for how he would represent the fine folks of SW Florida if elected to go to Washington DC.

Dr. William Figlesthaler is a world-renowned urologist who has resided in Naples, FL for nearly 25 years. He is married to his beautiful wife, Olga, and he has three children, Christine, Billy, and Elizabeth, as well as five grandchildren.

By his late teens, Dr. Fig had gone from a Florida State Champion in the pole vault to a single father working his way through college while raising three young children. From graduating cum laude from Wake Forest University, with honors from UNC School of Medicine to completing his residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Dr. Fig continued to display the determination and will to succeed that would drive his future success.

After moving his family back to Southwest Florida in 1997, Dr. Fig opened a small, one-room urology practice that he proceeded to build into one of the largest privately-owned medical practices in Florida history. During this time, Dr. Fig established himself as a pioneer in robotic surgery and racked up numerous accolades including being named in “Castle Connolly: Top Doctors” 12 straight years as well as “Florida’s Super Doctors”.

Despite all his professional successes, Dr. Fig remains most proud of his role as a father and dedicated philanthropist. After his parents raised him to work hard and give back, he instilled the same values in his own children, including his son Billy, a decorated U.S. Marine who served two combat tours in Iraq before pursuing his education and earning an MBA. Dr Fig continues to display his commitment to service through his involvement in such organizations as the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Boys and Girls Club and Junior Achievement.
